Our three goals for Catholic Youth Ministry: 1. To make mature disciples of Jesus Christ by ministering to and fostering the growth of the total person.
2. To connect their gifts with the parish community and Diocese of Cleveland.
3. To foster a deeper union with the life and mission of the Catholic Church in the world.
IMPORTANT NEWS: Donut Sales will continue: Thanks to our new volunteers Kevin Hillegas & Greg Tomei, our Donut Sales will continue. But we would like to have a few more volunteers to make the job even easier. If willing to help, talk to one of these "sweet treat" guys, or call Ellen.
Group Plans:
OLV PEACE Group (4 - 6th grades)--& MSYN (Middle School Youth Nite)
(Meetings are held at the same time, generally monthly, on the 3rd Sunday, from 6-8 in the Parish Center--except where noted. Everybody`s welcome--so bring a friend!
We welcome Mrs. Julie Gray and Mrs. Kim Sheets to the OLV Youth Ministry team. They are Virtus trained and approved for volunteer ministry under the supervision of Ellen Barber OLV Youth Director.
The PEACE group and the MSYN (Middle School Youth Nite) will meet together to share opening prayer, scripture, and snacks. Then we will separate for planned activity, games and prizes. We will end our evening with closing prayer and announcements. Cookie bakers are needed for both groups all year round. Parents are welcomed but must be Virtus trained.

BLAST --Believe, Live and Share the Truth!
Monthly Youth Mass at Holy Family--All OLV 9-12th graders and middle school sibs are invited to the 5:00pm Youth Mass with Father Joe Mamich at Holy Family on the first Sunday evening of each month. The evening also includes live music, a simple dinner and a bible study with discussion ending at 8pm. This Mass does fulfill your weekend Mass obligation. It is held in the lower hall of the church. Dress appropriately please. Bring desserts to share. Donations accepted.
Other Cluster high school events include: The Kent State Lock in hosted by five parishes in February.

Romance Dinners: These evenings are planned to give couples a special night out to share a meal, and learn about Marriage Encouter. Couples may choose to pursure more info, or just enjoy the dinner without any strings attached. If you might be interested in hosting one one of the dinners in your home, or at OLV int the Parish Center, contact Ellen. Area share groups will be happy to assist. WWME also contributes $100 for expenses
