PARISH NEWS
Sunday Mass Schedule Change Begins July 6, 2008: We now have 2 Sunday Masses at 9:00 & 10:45 am. We made the change during the summer months when our schedules aren`t as full. We made the change because of Mass attendance, and to give K-8 PSR families time to adust to the new Mass schedule before they experience the September change of location for these classes. Our K-8 classes will now be held at the "new" Tallmadge Middle School (old High School) located on East Ave. This announcement Flyer explains reasons for the change. See Flyer
We`ve Updated the Mass-Confession-& Adoration List: For those who occasionally stop at other nearby parishes for Mass, Confession, or Eucharistic Adoration, we`ve updated our list to reflect our Sunday Mass time change. Refer to - or Print out the file available on this Home Page--top right side/OLV Quick Docs. OR--pick up a printed copy from OLV, available at all doors of the church. Beginning July 6th--Welcome to Our Guest Priests: We`re happy that Fr. John was able to get some help from priests to allow him some time away, and assistance for some Masses. Beginning July 6th, for 6 weeks, Fr. Mark Ott will preside at one Sunday Mass. He’s not related to anyone in the parish, but called to ask if he could preside here while he’s on a summer break from studies in Rome. Well of course--we`d love to have him. While Fr. John takes some vacation time, retired priests Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. McGovern, and Fr. Yahner are scheduled to fill in.
Pray for Living On a Prayer Retreatants: While our college team presents a dynamite LOP Retreat for our high school students on July 18-20, we need folks to pray for all at the retreat. Sign up for Prayer Behind the Wall on the Youth Bulletin Board by the Gift Shoppe.
Fr. John Hengle`s 40th Anniversary Mass: Sunday, May 25 at 11:00. By now, this special event is history. It was wonderful!
